Studio Members - André Martins
Andre Martins was born in Rio de Janeiro city in the year of 1986, but he grew up at Curitiba, Parana. There, at the age of 6, he began his music studies at Music and Fine Arts School of Parana, where he graduated in flute under the supervision of the teacher Giampiero Pilatti. Andre started to practice his instrument in 1995 and ever since has attended to master classes with Carol Wincenc (EUA), Renato Axelrud, Caroline Lohmann (SWT), Fenwick Smith (EUA), José Ananias (SP), Zélia Brandão (PR) e Michel Bellavance (CAN). In the year 2005 he entered in the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of UFPR. The next year he joined to the Wind Orchestra of the Brazilian Popular Music Conservatory and played with famous musicians such as Toninho Ferragutti, Arrigo Barnabé, André Mehmari e Vitor Santos. In 2006 he also got through the second phase of the selection for OSESP’s Academy, and he was one of the 10 finalists to the Furnas Geração Musical Contest. As a musician of the First Baptist Church of Curitiba, he played in over 5 recordings made by the church. Currently, Andre is in a master’s program with Dr. Danilo Mezzadri at the USM.
